Malawi Rhodolite Garnet

This lovely teardrop was purchased in Malawi, a landlocked country in Southeast Africa. This gemstones shows its true colors with a rich deep red with puple overtones. It is a well cut stone with a lot of sparkle and life!  A perfect proportion, this gem is 12mm long x 8 mm wide and is over 6 carats in weight. It is just the right size for a statement ring, or a pendant accented with other gems.
