HE Colombian emerald ring with diamond accents in 18KY gold 5,5carats

Spectacular and rare, this 5.5 carat asscher cut emerald ring with 1.6 carats of diamond is an amazing find. The emerald is minimally oiled and is in excellent condition. Bought as a cocktail ring, there is very little wear on this piece. This beauty was handmade with double prongs and a double wire shank in solid 18KY gold in the 1980's. It comes with the original papers but has not been recently appraised. The emerald is 10.5x10.5mm. The 16 diamonds are 3mm round each, color F-H white with clarity determined to be VS1-VS2. Currently the estimated appraisal for replacement value is $40,000 to $50,000.
