Sterling Silver Barrette by Lorenzo Secatero

Every picture tells a story, and this barrette tells a beautiful one. A Navajo/Dine woman stands in Monument Valley and weaves a rug near her hogan. Story telling is the Native American tradition of preserving their heritage, and recording their history. This scene created in sterling silver, with the sun accented in a 12KY gold fill is literally a photograph of the artist's life. Lorenzo Secatero is a living Native jewelry artist today, although I could find little about him. This barrette is 4"x 1" wide and has a stainless spring clip, and is hallmarked Sterling with the logo of the artist.
